Pricing & Estimates
What people ask before they hire a painter
The goal isn’t the cheapest quote—it’s the cleanest result with the least drama.
We price based on surface area, prep needs (stucco repair, drywall texture, sanding), coats, materials, and access (vaulted ceilings, high peaks). If two quotes are wildly different, it’s usually because one is skipping prep or using cheap paint that won’t hold up to the sun.
Yes—fast phone estimates are available, and we provide a written scope once we confirm surfaces, sheen, colors, and prep. A written scope prevents “surprise add-ons” later.
Included: masking floors/furniture, patching nail holes, sanding, caulking gaps, 2-coat systems where needed, cleanup, and walkthrough. Not included unless specified: major drywall rebuilds, mold remediation, or major carpentry (though we can coordinate these).
Most projects require a deposit to lock the schedule and materials. The exact amount depends on scope. We keep it simple, documented, and transparent so you know exactly where your money goes.
Prep & Process
This is where great paint jobs are won
Paint doesn’t fail because “paint is bad.” It fails because prep was rushed.
Depending on the project: protect floors/furniture, pressure wash exteriors, scrape loose paint, sand edges smooth, patch defects, caulk gaps, spot-prime, then apply the finish. Prep is critical in Florida to prevent peeling from humidity and sun exposure.
Most color changes and repaints require two coats for proper coverage and true color depth. Some specific colors (bright reds, deep blues) may require a tinted primer base.
Typical guidance: latex paints can be recoated after about 4 hours. We follow product specs strictly. Rushing coats in Florida humidity can cause bubbling or poor adhesion.
Interior Painting
Clean lines. Smooth walls. Zero mess.
Flat/Matte: Hides imperfections (great for ceilings and older textured walls). Eggshell: The standard for living rooms; wipeable but not shiny. Satin/Semi-Gloss: Best for bathrooms, kitchens, and trim.
Yes. We ask that small breakables be removed, but we handle the heavy lifting. Floors are masked with paper or drop cloths to ensure not a single drop hits your tile, wood, or carpet.
We use premium low-VOC paints (like Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald). Odor is minimal and dissipates quickly, usually within hours of drying.
Exterior Painting
Florida weather requires the right system
The Florida sun is harsh. A high-quality exterior job typically lasts 5–7 years before fading becomes noticeable. We use UV-resistant coatings that hold color longer than standard builder-grade paints.
Always. We must remove mildew, dirt, and chalking oxidation to ensure the new paint bonds. We allow proper drying time so we never seal moisture into the stucco or wood.
We paint year-round in Florida. In the rainy season (Summer), we schedule around the afternoon storms to ensure paint has ample time to dry before any rain hits.
Cabinet Refinishing
Factory-smooth results require patience
Most kitchens take about 5-7 days. We remove doors/drawers to spray them off-site for a factory finish, while we prep and paint the boxes on-site. This minimizes disruption to your home.
We use industrial-grade urethane coatings. When fully cured, it is incredibly hard. However, we recommend treating them gently for the first 21-30 days while the chemical cure finalizes, especially in Florida humidity.
Yes! Changing from knobs to pulls? We can fill the old holes, sand them invisible, and drill new holes for your upgraded hardware.
